Jazz and classical music combine for this concert, which begins with Darius Milhaud's "The Creation of the World," one of the first jazz pieces introduced to the concert hall. Milwaukee's own Warren Wiegratz from the Buck's house-band "Street Life" will solo on his composition, "Three Scenes for Contemporary Jazz Saxophone and Orchestra." Two works of George Gershwin round out the afternoon, "Lullaby for String Orchestra" and the audience favorite, "An American In Paris." more details

Band Together lead instructor Ryan Schiedermayer, local drummer/percussionist and member of the band Streetlife, states: "I believe there exists a real demand for a program that connects the dots between private instruction and group performance.
